Engine Block & Bottom End
- Ultrasonic tested seasoned Ford block – only thick-walled blocks are used (4 in 10 rejected).
- Deburred oil drainback holes, coolant passages, and block webbing for optimal oil flow.
- Fully machined block: torque plate honed cylinders, decked to crank centerline, and main saddle alignment checked.
- Crankshaft: Magnaflux inspected, indexed, reground, micro-polished journals, and chamfered oil holes.
- Conrods: Atomic billet Superleggera 6.060″ C/C, bushed for floating pins, ARP 2000 bolts, precision ground tunnels, and direct oil-fed gudgeons.
- Pistons: Cosworth F1 Series dish-top with 4 valve reliefs and 8.7:1 compression ratio.
- Bearings: ACL Competition bearings with a 360° thrust bearing upgrade.
- Main Bearings: High-flow #6 and #7 for increased oil supply.
- Gaskets: Atomic Competition Gasket & Seal Kit with MLS-D diesel-style head gasket.
Cylinder Head & Valvetrain
- Atomic Stage 4 Cylinder Head: CNC-machined multi-angle valve job, hand-ported intake and exhaust bowls, injector boss streamlining, and fine Ra deck surface.
- Stainless oversized valves, race-spec spring tensions, new PC seals, and #306801 Ovate Race Spec springs with HD collet set.
- Atomic anti-pump-up lifters preloaded for high RPM use.
- Custom Atomic billet camshafts (profile of choice).
Timing & Oil System
- Heavy-Duty Timing Kit: Reinforced chain, Atomic billet “Parabolic” guide, HD tensioner, and CrMo pivot bolt.
- Billet Steel Crank Sprocket: Atomic #306562.
- Oil Pump: Atomic STEEL Billet gear oil pump with EDM cut chrome moly gears, billet end plate, hi-flow circuitry, and upgraded relief spring.
Reinforced Structure & Balancing
- Main Cap Girdle & Windage Tray: 10mm Atomic hi-tensile alloy steel main cap girdle for crank stability.
- Balancer: Atomic Hi-Mass ANDRA/SFI approved harmonic balancer with CrMo stepped face washer, high-tensile bolt, and Nordlock washer.
- Precision balanced for high RPM operation.
Final Assembly & Extras
- Engine fully test-run in Atomic’s test cell for oil pressure, compression, and ring bed-in verification.
- Finish Options: High-temp engine enamel (color of choice), powder-coated rocker & timing cover (2 color choices).
- Documentation: Torque specs manual, run-in procedure sheet, and USB with test data.
- Included: Up to 14L of run-in 15W/40 oil, Ford oil filter, NGK spark plugs.
